The Hydra Cooperative in 2016
2016 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the Hydra Cooperative. As we continue to push forward on fulfilling the stretch goals of the Slumbering Ursine Dunes Kickstarter, we’re also taking on several new projects.

David Lewis Johnson, for Strange Stars
Hydra Cooperative partner Trey Causey will be releasing Strange Stars OSR later this year. This supplement, compatible with Sine Nomine Publishing’s Stars Without Number, features character creation guidelines for the Strange Stars, an in-depth look at the factions and adversaries present in the setting, and notes for how to make the best use of the extraordinary universe.

Jason Sholtis, for Operation: Unfathomable
Jason Sholtis is preparing an expanded treatment of his highly-acclaimed 2011 module, Operation: Unfathomable. While the original module was presented as a time-limited convention game, this expanded Operation: Unfathomable will contain the materials for full campaigns, in both the mythic Underworld and the all-new Odious Uplands (recently thawed). The manuscript (still under development) currently clocks in at 23,000 words. The Operation: Unfathomable Kickstarter will be launching in 2016.
Patrick Stuart and Scrap Princess will be releasing Broken Fire Regime, the followup to 2014’s award-winning adventure Deep Carbon Observatory. Larger and even stranger than DCO, but with the same fantastic imagery and exploration of concepts, Broken Fire Regime is scheduled for a 2016 release. The pre-preliminary work currently clocks in at 38,000 words.
Work continues on the stretch goals for the Slumbering Ursine Dunes Kickstarter. Misty Isles of the Eld is currently in layout, and writing has begun on What Ho! Frog Demons.
We’re proud of the work we’re putting into these products, and eager to get them out to you. Here’s to a great 2016 for all!
